I'll venture to say that of the how ever many viewers that watched it last night, that maybe 1% were republicans.

All of his crap last night is just that...more of his crap! I do not believe very many Americans would fall for any of it. Go to Eonline and check out the comments made after his commercial. You will be very suprised that most of the comments were negative.

Mindless scripted dribble...

It might of helped him with some swing voters. But I'm sure the people that hate Obama just changed the channel.

I hope so. I CRIED when that poor man who lost his pension of 1500 a month , and Obama said and quite right, businesses need to be enforced by law to PAY what they take from this persons salary for retirement and not pocket it!

I really doubt that the Obama ad last night changed the hardcore Republicans mind. The ones who were doubtful before they saw the ad might vote for Obama, but the rest, hmmm ignorance could be a factor here again. Obama/ Biden 08

I think there are a lot of smart Republicans out there who will ultimately put their party affiliation aside and do the right thing. So yes!

No it didn't but it worked for Independents, like me

No, repubs. know that an Obama win would be detrimental to the U.S.

Posted by: fdm215 on 2008-10-30, 06:04:46

Nope. I also don't think that was the purpose of it. It was meant to fire up the base and attract more independent voters.

Noot the tribal republicans. I think the real republicans, not the racist wing or the wacko wing have always had doubts about John's inability to multi-task, stay the course and otherwise be a strong, fair leader. They have also had gnawing concerns about his VP candidate not driving with all her lights on. They may chose to sit this one out, or seriously ask themselves, "why not Obama? "

I believe the strategy and intent of the video changed the hearts of many last night. Not once did he mention his opponent John McCain in the video. What he did however, is speak solely about what he can do and will do when he becomes President. Very clever on Baracks behalf. Not only is he an intelligent & savvy business man, but he is also sympathetic to our needs and the changes that this country calls for. Go OBAMA!!!!

No it did not work on me and I'm a Democrat. Made me want to puke.

It obviously changed a few minds because the gap has widened. But the racist and ignorant will hold on for dear life.

I'm not a hardcore Republican but do consider myself a Republican. I live in VA and will be voting for the Democratic candidate, Warner, for Senate. I watched Sen. Obama's 30 minute show last night and will be voting for John McCain for President. No matter what Sen. Obama said last night his rhetoric doesn't support his past voting record. He voted with his own party 97% of the time. He's not a uniter, he does not support the second amendment, and he is very pro-abortion.

You have to mentally disturbed. I doubt that you even know any "hardcore " republicans and here it is 8am cdt and you have been out talking to people. His speech which was a speech to his supporters and probably was not even watched by the independents that could be the only reason he could get elected did not watch. In fact the latest tracking his that his REDISTRIBUTION of wealth is hurting him badly with independents who tend to also be large investors so that was the reason for emphases on "sharing " not redistribution which shows that Obama thinks the public is of the samementalityy as his Chicago constituents.
